"So U found me.Good, I'm glad.

I should start this off correctly:
Kinlichiini nishli. Totsoni baashischii. Tachini daashinaali doo Haatbani hanu daa shicheii. Tsehootsoi-dee doo Oakland-dee naasha. Human being nishli. :)
Dachshund Daddie to a 5 year old Dachshund (his name means Sausage in Navajo /DInebizaad. We kept ourselves busy patrolling the streets of Chinatown Oakland to Jack London Square. We've moved since then to East Oakland but make visits to Oakand's Chinatown regularly.
Shi Dine doo Kawaikame'! (I'm Navajo and Laguna Pueblo!) Born here in Oakland but have my feet planted in my Dinebekeya (Navajo Nation). Je parle Francais og jeg studerer norsk. I love London (been 2x) and can't wait for 3 and a trip to Paris.
My journey's been very interesting and I due to a certain fellow on flicker, I am writing the book. On my journey, I'm striving to be ever present and aware to living life NOW and not to carry unnecessary baggage (although it's there) or to dwell on unhealthy issues or people. Easier said than done but that's what waking up each day provides: another chance.
I love the smell and sound of falling snow. I'm a morning person and find peace in nature and excitement in cities.
I miss DC, especially my old street and home on 9th St, SE on Capitol Hill; which includes the trees and even the humidity. I miss winter and my friends there. There was good times and bad but that's life.
My life here in Oakland is being lived each and every day. Like a line in a favorite movie, "I'm giving me love each and every day. Love is the thing, you know?" I continue to search for that gentleman and perhaps you are too. Respect and love is the thing. You heard it here first.
Je suis comme un chanson de Prince - vous pensez que vous me connez, mais non. Je suis moi-meme, comme vous/toi. Ne me croyez pas? Tant pis!
I'm amazed and in awe of those lucky creative individuals here and elsewhere who allow their passions to become visible. I guess that's why I love music, sounds and the colours in the world. So there's plenty to experience around us, all we need to do is to see.
Jeg er Indianer pa Oakland og Navajo Nation og Laguna Pueblo.
Je ris et je souris avec mon chien. Maintenant, j'habite dans Oakland mais J'ai habite dans DC il y a dix ans - oui, c'est vrai.
Way above on top is in Dinebizaad / Navajo. Ask me what it means and you'll know who I am and where I come from. 10 pts for the rest. Merci! Tak! Ahe'hee! Dawa'e! Kwa' kwai!
I've worked for the National Museum of Natural History (the Smithsonian Institution), the Chickasaw Nation in Washington, DC, the Navajo Nation in Washington, DC, the National Native American AIDS Prevention Center in Oakland, Ca, and Williams-Sonoma here in San Francisco. The Journey has been very interesting and each job has been more challenging that the one before.
I was a student in AFS (American Field Service) in Kalutara North, Sri Lanka during the summer of 1983. I was able to stay there the whole time unlike several other students who stayed with Tamil families. Our home was hit by the tsunami and I can imagine it being flooded. I don't think our family still lives there. I lost touch with them and think of them often. So sad that in 1983 the civil war began. I, too, would like to go back and see the places that I still have in my memory. But pray for peace in a world that needs it so much. My experience there has helped me on my path.
Other stuff: In October 2008, I came down with an ear infection in my right ear. The result? Now I am partially deaf; some hearing has returned but my left ear is the better, not that it was much stronger in the first place. So I it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not - I just am hard of hearing now. It happened so I could be healthier - no lie. How strange life can be. Talk about signs from heaven.
Say hello if you'd like. Comment if you care. Be alive, you must!
20 points if U know where the song comes from on top!
"Peace & Positivity! Enjoy the Journey..." "Hozho nahaasli"
